Search Results

A list with your Search Results will be displayed and shows an Identifier Number (ID), the Title, Publication Year and a Score.

You will find your search criteria displayed in the top of the list.

The initial order displayed in the Search Results is by Score (ranking in %) and displays in order how relevant the document is to your search (query).

The score / relevance refers to the more times a query term appears in a document relative to the number of times the term appears in all documents in the collection – provided by a complex search engine.

The number of Results Returned (how many documents did meet your search criteria) is displayed in the bottom left of the list.

Sort

You can sort and rearrange the information in your Search Results for your preferred and better overview.

Left click on a column header i.e on Title, Year or Score to sort ascending or descending.

At the right end of each column header you find a small arrow – left click on the arrow to get a drop down menu which gives an option to sort ascending or descending, and the results will be sorted and displayed accordingly.

There you can define as well the columns that you want to be displayed in your Search Results list.
