Register and Login

Why - Register and Login ?

You don’t need to be logged in for – searching, viewing, emailing document information, printing content document like alerts, events, calender information, brief contact information and the country page.

You need to be logged in if you want to - contribute or add new content, edit / change existing content, or if you want to see more contact details.

Advantages and privileges of Logged in and Registered Users are that:

• You can add and edit information in PDN.
• You can see more Contact details in PDN.
• Details of your contact information are visible only to logged in users whereas for users who are not logged in, a brief display only is available.
• Your Contact information enhances and supports collaboration in Disaster Risk Management in the region and even worldwide.
• Your username maintains an identity which is helpful if you add or edit information in PDN. The PDN team (and nobody else) can see your new or changed information and follow up in case of questions.
• The PDN privacy policy protects your information. (For more information please see under Policy).

Register and Login

It is necessary to log in if you want to contribute and add new content or edit / change existing content or if you want to see more contact details.

Please enable Cookies before you Login / Register. For more information please see under Cookies.

Click on the button ‘Login’ in the top right corner.

If you are not yet a registered user please click on 'Not Registered ?' in the Login form and fill the User Registration form.

You can edit your Registration and Contact Details later again, after the Login. For more information please see under Continue - Registration and Contact Details.

After filling the User Registration form or if you are a registered user already - please enter your Username and Password in the displayed Login form.

If you click the box with ‘Remember Me On This Computer’ you will not have to Login again when you access PDN from the same computer.

A cookie will be used to remember your Login on this computer - if the browser cache is not cleared. For more information please see under Cookies.

If you leave the box unchecked you will have to login each time you visit PDN on this computer.

If you share your computer with someone else or using a public computer we recommend to leave the box unchecked!

Please confirm your login with click on the button 'Login'.

Continue - Registration and Contact details

You can see your login in the top right corner - and the new Action tab on the left side.

Click the button 'Continue' if you don't want to edit your Registration and / or Contact Details.

If you want to edit your Registration Details and / or your Contact Details please click the relevant button and edit the forms.

The Registration Details - host your username, password, account level and other information which is just visible for you under your login.

When you register your initial account level will be 'Viewer' and you are able to see more than brief contact information when you are logged in.

You can get the user level upgraded from 'Viewer' to 'Basic Administrator' and you are able to see more than brief contact information when you are logged in and you can as well add / edit information. 

Please send an email if you want your account level to be upgraded from 'Viewer' to 'Basic Administrator'.

The Contact Details - host your relevant information as part of the Pacific Disaster Net Information Management and can be edited and updated from yourself when you are logged in.

This information is visible as brief display for every user and as full display for logged in users.

Logout

Click on the ‘Logout’ button at the top right corner and confirm by clicking 'OK' on the displayed 'Logout Success'.

Please keep your account secure!

Do not give your Login with Username and Password to anybody.

Use the combination of Username and Password only for PDN.

If you Login from other than your personal computer – make sure that you Logout as well when you finish your session and work with PDN.

Keep your computer up-to-date with the latest anti-virus software.

Forgot your Password ?

If you forgot your password please click on ‘Forgot your Password ?’ in the Login Form - and enter your email address in the Request Password form provided.
Please confirm by clicking on the button ‘Request’ and your password will be sent to you by email within a few minutes.
