TC - Tropical Cyclone
With the slow-moving nature of TC Sarah, Fiji Met Service predicts as mostly likely scenario that TC Sarah initially moves south, towards Palmerston Island in Southern Cooks, and then curve west-southwest as it loses its tropical cyclone characteristics and transforms into a depression. Given its projected path, TC Sarah poses a direct threat to Palmerston Island in the Southern Cooks. A Gale warning therefore remains in force for Palmerston. A strong wind warning remains in force for the rest of the southern Cook Islands. Mar 02/0902 UTC Tropical DepressionTD11F EX-TC SARAH CENTRE [1003HPA] was analysed near 17.3S 161.8W AT 020600 UTC and slow moving. Potential for TD11F to develop in to a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours is low
