1. Mongolia - Dzud affected the country as of the beginning
of January 2010. 177,637 people are in severely affected
areas, out of which 72,416 are children aged between 0-18.
Transportation has been limited, which restrained access to
education and health services. Livestock, food stuff,
medicine, clothing and energy sources are needed. The
government has organized a coordinated campaign with
non-governmental
and
international
organizations
to
address the impact.

2. Philippines/Indonesia - There is a high chance of below-
normal rainfall in the Philippines, Borneo and Sulawesi (IDN)

3. Papua New Guinea - A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck
off the coast of Papua New Guinea on 1 Feb 2010. No major
