A request has been conveyed to Catherine (NZ Red Cross) for 5 x 1000L tanks to be allocated to 2-3 
families living further inlands from the rest of the other settlements. The availability of these tanks has yet 
to be confirmed from Catherine.  
Current Work: 
 
SWA & Lance Cutts of OSM are currently working on GPSing all tanks located on different sites for water 
truck distribution and Mapping. The GIS information will include housing and number of people it holds to 
quantify the consumption rate as per SWA Standard for a proper distribution programme.  
Assistance: 
 
The following water trucks have been assisting with the distribution of water via water trucks: 
1.
 
SWA23 – Savaii Water Truck (plus SWA54 & SWA25)  
2.
 
Red Cross – 1 x 5000L bladder (Dean & Johnny) – Catherine NZ Red Cross

Craig Construction – 1 x 5000L bladder 
 
The following trucks are awaiting for assistance:

2 water trucks from Oxfam (Dave Neru) to arrive 9/10/09 and utilised as soon as possible (14 days 
hire) 
 
Construction of Tank Shelters are currently been done by the NZ Army lead by Dean and Major Hayward. 
The materials required for the works are supplied by SWA while the labour and tools are provided by the 
NZ Army. NZ Army have 2 days remaining to assist SWA with the construction works.  
Water Delivery Forecast: 
 
Assistance of any sort is needed and appreciated, as this water delivery services via our water trucks will be

Sanitation Facilities: 
 
These have been funded by SWA and toilet seatings constructed also by SWA with the assistance of OSM. 
Shelters for the pit latrines are constructed by the NZ Army using their labour and tools, while SWA 
supplies all materials required for the construction.
